Days 4-13 – Kruger National Park
Everyday of your safari inside Kruger park promises to deliver new and exciting game viewing experiences. Our extensive knowledge of the eco-systems and the animals found within them will ensure you have fantastic viewing and photographic opportunities. One of the wonderful things about Kruger Park is the freedom it allows each individual during their stay. Other opportunities available to you besides game drives include guided bush walks and night drives by Kruger park rangers and even a leisurely day by the pool if you would like!

Day 14 – Kruger National Park > Pretoria > Johannesburg
On our final day in Kruger park, we will make a short game drive toward the exit of the park before returning to Johannesburg international airport to catch your overnight flight to JFK. On our drive back to Johannesburg, we will stop at the artisan markets in the city of Pretoria to allow you some time to shop for locally-made crafts and jewelry. If you have decided to join us on our exciting optional side trip to see the whales, sharks and penguins, we will depart in the evening on a local flight to Cape Town and then make our way to the quaint sea side town of Hermanus, home of the international whale festival and several world renown artists.

Cape Town side trip Itinerary

Day 1 – Cape Town > Hermanus
Arrive in Cape Town by plane and drive to our sea side accommodations located on a quiet street overlooking the bay in the small artisan town of Hermanus.

Day 2-6 – Hermanus and surrounding areas
Hermanus and the surrounding area offers a multitude of options and side trips available to the group. We intentionally leave the Capetown / Hermanus itinerary open and flexible, enabling us to focus on those things that are of interest to the group, while passing over things that may not be high on people’s priority list. Highlights can include a whale watching trip with the gentle, friendly Southern Right whales, a leisurely day walking among the penguins of Betty’s bay, a visit to a fantastic fynbos botanical garden, and for those interested in the experience of a life time, cage diving with the great white sharks of shark alley. For those that are a bit more timid, you can still enjoy and photograph the sharks from the upper viewing platform of the shark tour boat.

Day 7 – Hermanus > Johannesburg
For those returning to USA, you will fly back to Johannesburg international airport and will depart that evening for USA.
